FUNGI 

MANY  KINDS  OF  FUNGI  ARE FOUND

                                                                                        

ON  DEAD  WOOD. THEY  GET THE FOOD

THEY NEED FROM THE WOOD. FUNGI  DO

NOT MAKE SEEDS, AS PLANTS DO INSTEAD,

THEY MAKE TINY SPORES THAT ARE CARRIED 

AWAY BY THE WIND. 

mushrooms and toadstools look like plants but they are neither plants nor animals.

they are organisms called fungi. the mould with grows on rotting food is another type of fungi. 

you can do this experiment with bread 

1. take a piece of bread.

2.put bread in a shallow dish.

3. take a glass of water.

4.then leave your bread open in air for few hours.

5.after few hours add few drops of water to make it damp.

6. cover the container with cling film.

7.after few days, there should be plenty of mould on the bread.

8.look at the mould with cling film
